One search for your Agents, Conversations, Tasks, Files and your Work boards, items and docs.

Search looks across everything of yours in the app at once. Type a few words and the results come back in groups, one group per kind of thing.

Open it

• Desktop browser: the Search item at the top of the left rail, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac).
• Home: the magnifier in the header.
• Phone: the same screen opens on top of the one you are on, and goes back to it when you close it.

Rules

• Only yours. Each group applies the same ownership rules as its list, so search shows nothing that the list would not. A deleted message, an archived task, a file in Trash and anything of a deleted Agent are not found. For Work, search shows only what you may read in Work.
• Words, not phrases. The query is split into words (letters and digits in any script, so Hebrew and English both work). Up to 8 words are used, each word can be only the start of a longer word, and a result must contain all of them. A query can be up to 200 characters. A file name such as report_final.pdf is split at punctuation, so report, final and pdf each find it.
• How many. Each group shows its first few results. When more than 100 match, the group says “100+” instead of an exact count.
• A group that fails does not block the others. It shows “could not load” with a retry.
• Your words are not recorded. The query is not written to Worksong’s logs or error reports, and the analytics only see how long it was.

For developers

The Worksong half of the search is GET /api/search?q=<words>&types=<comma list>&limit=<1 to 20>. It returns groups (each with items, total and capped) and the tokens that were searched. See the Worksong API. Work answers its own half with GET /v1/search; see Search and answers.
