# Connections, Skills and Tool servers

> Extend what an Agent can reach and do.

## Connections

A Connection links one of your accounts so Agents can use it. Most apps connect through Composio with OAuth or an API key. Agents find the tools of a connected app on demand, so a large app does not fill the Agent's context. If a connection is missing or expired, the Agent can show a card with Connect or Reconnect. WhatsApp connects separately by pairing a device; you choose which Agents may use it and whether an Agent auto-replies per chat.

## Skills

A Skill is a packaged instruction set (a `SKILL.md` plus files). You can create one, import from a public GitHub repository or a zip, and update it from its source. You switch Skills on per Agent. Limits apply: 50 Skills per owner, 20 switched on per Agent, a `SKILL.md` of at most 1,000 lines and 64 KB, and a whole Skill of at most 50 files and 5 MB. Importing from a GitHub repository first shows a preview of the Skills it finds.

## Tool servers

A Tool server is a remote MCP server you add by address. The address must start with `https://` and use a host name, not an IP address. You can store the headers it needs (write-only: only the header name is shown afterwards), press Test, review its tool list, switch tools on and attach it to an Agent (up to 3 per Agent, 5 per owner; a sixth is refused). An Agent can use a server only after you have reviewed it. A server whose tool list breaks the size rules (too many tools, a tool that is too large, or a name that cannot be used) cannot be switched on as it is. If the server's list changes, it returns to **needs review** and the Agent keeps the list you accepted until you review again. Calls to its tools ask for approval; "Always allow" is stored per Agent, per tool and per accepted list.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Tool servers and Secrets can be switched off for an account. When off, their rows are hidden in the app.

## Phone calls

An Agent can place a phone call after you approve a call card. The card shows the brief and says whether the call is recorded. Under **Connections > Phone calls** you set the limits: the longest call in minutes, calls per day, an optional monthly call budget, the allowed countries and your test numbers. Calls also count toward each Agent's budget and the account's monthly budget.

**Record calls** is one switch for two things. On: each call is recorded, the person hears "This call is being recorded." first, and only you can play the recording. Off: calls are not recorded and no notice is spoken; you still get the transcript. Check that this is allowed where the person is. A call brief that tells the Agent not to mention the recording is stopped, and you can edit the brief to fix it.

If the assistant cannot answer during a call, it says so and ends the call politely instead of going silent.
